Esther’s great-grandmother, Mary Lewis, took pride in living off the land, and was known as the master of country style cooking. Gladiola Lewis, Esther’s mother, developed expert skills in Cajun style cuisine. Both Momma Lewis and Mary Lewis believed in passing their recipes on to the next generation. Esther was the 7th born out of 11 children. Growing up, Esther faced much opposition, but never let anything distract her from her dreams. To become an entrepreneur was her sole aspiration, but cooking exceptional Cajun Soul Food was embedded in her soul….Esther was a single parent of 6 children working at Centerpoint Energy. She dedicated 24 years of her life to the company before she decided to take an entrepreneural leap of faith. Esther took her retirement fund and invested in her life-long dream.
